recorded with my new Zoom H2 Handy CF recorder (in VBR MP3 mode).

yidakis (didgeridoos), miscellaneous small percussion, guitar.
This recording is different from the version that was on the streams.

Recycled archive recordings with a new twist.
Stretched and live Shuar flute, mbira (thumb piano),
vocal improvisation, mouth harps, mouthbow, bamboo flute
and live streams from air traffic control radio
(Australia and the Netherlands),
all processed through dBlue GLITCH.

Recycling archive recordings overdubbed live from
the home studio playing mbira (thumb piano), yidaki
(didjeridu), khaen, vocal improvisation, and live streams from
air traffic control radio (Australia and the Netherlands),
all processed through dual dBlue GLITCH VST FX plugins.





October 7: Zero Preparation Improv

Just back in time to do my program, no preparation
so I mixed and processed material from my cassette
and CD archives and added live sounds with voice
and various instruments going through the
dBlue GLITCH VST FX plugin.





September 30: Layered Robo Mix

Recycled Robodock recording fragments, layers of randomized,
glitched and stretched sounds and rhythm combined with live
improvisations (drums, Shuar overtone flute, mbira, crackle
box, yidaki, sticks, bottles, cowbell), live air traffic
control streams and fragments of other streams, more or less
dropping in and out of the mix at random.





Recycling fragments recorded at Robodock 2007,
explosions, sirens, flames and robotic sounds.
Post Robodock, post industrial noisescape.





September 16: Just in Time

Just back in time from Gogbot festival, no preparations.
mixing older material from my selftaping cassette archive
with more or less at random selected material from the newer
archive on CD-ROMs.
Live feeds from Schiphol and Sydney airport air traffic control.
Live voice and instrumental improvisation added during broadcast.

Glitchy fun with a processed riddim of 123 BPM.
at the end mixed with magical songs of the plants, icaros, from Peru.

Fragments from a podcast about new insights in bird brains
and fragments of and about William Burroughs and some bird sounds and sound effects randomized cut up mix.

August 19: Pretty Random Remix

Fragments from the pre-Landjuweel jam with Farmer P
and Thea, running in three randomized channels.

August 12: Freaky Remix

Recycled, processed recordings from my selftaping
cassette archives. The first half hour recordings
I made in the AKI audio studio with singing bowl,
didjeridu en overtone voice.
The second half hour is a mix I made for DFM in 1998, also recycled though processing through a chain of
VST plugins.
Live voice and instruments were added during broadcast.




August 5: Loops of Sound in Dub

Three looped segments from the Soundlab2 registration
featuring Farmer_P and me, and a loop of the recitation
of the Tibetan mantra Om Mani Padme Hum, mixed with an old
cassette tape from my selftaping archive, progressively
processed through a chain of VST effect plug-ins with
live voice and instruments added during broadcast.




July 22: Pre-Landjuweel Jam

On the brink of leaving for the Landjuweel festival
in Ruigoord,
I invited Farmer P and Thea to join me for a live jam in my show.
After 20 minutes I noticed a had forgotten to start the recording.
Oiio did make a streamrip of the DFM 160 k stream, with ten
minutes more, so the podcast is about 50 minutes this time.
Most of our main instruments were already packed for travel
so we played on what was laying around, including empty bottles,
cups and spoons, going into pagan, Mongolian and Rastafarian
Nyahbhingy atmospheres, among others.




July 15: Enter the Random Factor

Recycled excerpts from the recording of Soundlab 2
some of the same sound fragments as used last week,
but intead of careful editing, mixed together with software
introducing randomness.
Parts from the recordings from outside my house in my back yard
were mixed in as well in the processing.
Glitches, looping, delay and filter effects added with
a bunch of free VST plugins.
Live instruments and voice were added during the broadcast,
towards the end mouthharp and overtone singing are pitched
down an octave.

June 24: Midsummer Night Buzz

This episode features a mouthharp technique
that I learned on midsummer night.
It involves using circular breathing on a mouthharp that
is sensitive enough to be sounded just by breath.
Recordings processed with pitch bending and half speed
mixed and live processing added during the broadcast, as well
as improvisation on khaen, moring khuur, mouthharp and didjeridu.

drums riddim and subtle glitching.
